Mobrio bolsters advisory board with appointment of Nick Alexander

Mobrio Limited, the online community and mobile web services company, has announced the appointment of media and entertainment guru, Nick Alexander to the company’s advisory board. With over 25 years experience in senior management, Nick Alexander has run some the world’s most successful entertainment companies and he brings a wealth of valuable knowledge and experience to Mobrio.

Oxford educated, Nick worked at British Rail and EMI before joining Virgin in 1983 to start Virgin Games and Virgin Mastertronic which he ran until 1991 when the business was divided and the major part sold to Sega. He then became CEO of Sega Europe before leaving in 1994 to join the Pearson Group to start a new magazine and video publishing division. While at the company, Nick bought Future Publishing for Pearson for £52.5m, selling it three years later for £142 million.

Since then Nick has had a portfolio career working as a director or consultant for a wide range of companies, both PLCs and private. Nick is currently Chairman of mobile entertainment and content company, Player X and holds non-executive directorships with 3-D software company Naturalmotion, 365plc, Clarkweiss Ltd and Talkcast Corporation Plc.
